Dynamic Form

Venue: ZfL, Schützenstr. 18, 10117 Berlin, Aufgang B, 3. Et., Seminarraum 303

The concept of form has been conceived off as something static, immutable, and stabilizing that is opposed to the idea of change or deformation. This workshop will investigate form in its dynamic aspect, insofar as it is subject to time, change, and antagonistic relations. At last year’s meeting of the GSA, a group of scholars met to address the question of dynamic form under three headings: individual transformation, generic transformation, and serial form in general. We will now reconvene to consider dynamic form in relation to mereological and structuralist questions.
