Gershom Scholem’s Literary Cosmos – The Poetica collection comprises poetry and essays by the religious scholar and provides insights into his work as a writer, translator, critic, and Israeli intellectual. Scholem’s very personal poetry from six decades of his life is hardly known – Poetica not only presents these for the first time in a collection, but it also tells the in part biographical stories of the poems’ origins.
The editors will present the recently published volume at the Jewish Museum Berlin. The actor Trystan Pütter reads the poems and other texts from the Poetica collection.
In German.
A cooperation of the Jewish Museum Berlin and Jüdischer Verlag im Suhrkamp Verlag.
