Reading and talk with Volha Hapeyeva, moderated by Nina Weller, at the poetry festival Pop und Petersilie in Neuruppin, 10–12 Nov 2023

Volha Hapeyeva, born in Minsk (Belarus), is a poet, author, translator, and holds a PhD in linguistics. She has received numerous prizes and awards, most recently the English PEN Translates Award for her book In My Garden of Mutants (2021) and the Wortmeldungen literature prize (2022). She has written 14 books in Belarusian, her poems have been translated into more than 15 languages. The poetry collection Mutantengarten (2020), the novel Camel Travel (2021), the essay Die Verteidigung der Poesie in Zeiten dauernden Exils (2022) and the poetry collection Trapezherz (2023) have been published in German.
