Salome Rodeck: Dust to Earth: Donna Haraway and Lynn Margulis

Study Session in the series “Dust to Earth” aacompanying the exhibition Our Silver City, 2094 at Nottingham Contemporary

This Study session will bring together the practices of Lynn Margulis and Donna Haraway, both of whom have developed the concept of symbiosis from a biological phenomenon into an ethical-ontological figure of thought, and at the same time live(d) an interdisciplinary (or symbiotic) research practice that blurs the boundaries between the natural sciences and the humanities. In this session, we will explore their legacy and collectively think about symbiotic forms of co-living and survival.
