1st International Summer Academy of the ZfL: “Die ‘Erste Kulturwissenschaft’ und ihr Potential für die Gegenwart”

The International Summer Academy of the ZfL explored the epistemological potentials of the Erste Kulturwissenschaft and discussed its relevance for the current development of cultural studies. Young scholars (PhD students and PostDocs) in the humanities and cultural studies presented their projects that work historically on Erste Kulturwissenschaft or relate to its methods and concepts. The Summer Academy included workshops (joint reading and discussion of central texts of the Erste Kulturwissenschaft), the presentation of own works, public lectures with discussion by renowned cultural scholars, and a thematic cultural program.
