GWZ ranked 1st in the Humboldt Rankings 2023

In the latest Humboldt Rankings, the ZfL and its two partner institutes ZAS and ZMO who work together under the joint administration of the Centers for Advanced Studies in the Humanitites (GWZ e.V.) were ranked first among research institutions in the humanities and social sciences!

The Alexander von Humboldt Foundation’s ranking provides information on the distribution of research stays by researchers from abroad with Humboldt Fellowships at universities, non-university research institutions, and other institutions in Germany. Among the 400 non-university institutions, the GWZ ranked 9th out of all institutions in Germany, and 1st among institutions in the humanities and social sciences. A total of 23 fellows and 6 award winners were hosted at the GWZ between 2018 and 2022.
