Due to the current developments the ZfL and its library stay closed for the public until further notice.
Staff members are requested to register in advance with the secretariat (either by telephone on 030 / 20192-155 or by e-mail to sekretariat@zfl-berlin.org).

 

29 Sep 2020 Statement on the Corona Epidemic

The presidents of the four non-university research organizations Fraunhofer-Gesellschaft, Helmholtz-Gemeinschaft, Leibniz-Gemeinschaft and Max Planck-Gesellschaft have published a new statement on the COVID 19 epidemic based on mathematical analyses of the data available.

01 Apr 2020 More Online Ressources for Free and Expanded Access

The Internet Archive has opened a free lending library with 1.4 Mio. copyrighted titles (mostly popular science) accessible to everyone. The Bayerische Staatsbibliothek and the Berliner Staatsbibliothek currently offer a simplified registration procedure for accessing electronic resources. The current issue of the Merkur is freely accessible online.

 

23 Mar 2020 Scholarly Online Resources Temporarily Available for Free

Many university libraries and other institutions are currently opening their electronically available books and/or journals to all users for free. JSTOR and participating publishers are also making additional content accessible for free.

 

20 Mar 2020 GWZ on Emergency Staff Presence

The Centers for Advanced Studies in the Humanities (GWZ), like all other academic and research institutions of the State of Berlin, will implement a limited emergency staff presence that will take effect as of 20th March 2020. There will only be staff present to maintain minimum operations. All other staff will work from home and will be reachable via email.

17 Mar 2020 Central Email Address of the Berlin Senate Chancellery Higher Education and Research

The Berlin Senate Chancellery Higher Education and Research is installing a central email address for enquiries and an overview of all contacts at the universities. Specific enquiries will be forwarded to the institutions by the Senate Chancellery.

 

13 Mar 2020 All Public Events of the ZfL Have Been Cancelled

Due to the spread of the coronavirus and in coordination with the Berlin universities, all public events of the ZfL have been cancelled until July 20th. The ZfL library is closed until further notice.
