Vasyl Cherepanyn is Head of the Visual Culture Research Center (VCRC), an institution he co-founded in Kyiv in 2008 as a platform for collaboration among academic, artistic, and activist communities. VCRC is a founding member of the East Europe Biennial Alliance and the organizer of the Kyiv Biennial. The 5th part, the Kyiv Perenniale, took place from February to June 2024 in Berlin and other European cities, curated by Vasyl Cherepanyn.

We will come together for an open discussion on semi-peripherial questions from Ukrainian perspectives, to learn more about Vasyl Cherepanyn’s curatorial activities in times of war (Kyiv Perenniale) and about the situation of the Eastern European and Ukrainian art scene in/as European networks.
